Based at Ranfurly House on Mount Albert Road in Three Kings, the Ranfurly Veterans' Trust has been supporting veterans and their families since 1903. As one of the longest-standing organisations supporting veterans in Auckland, the Trust offers both direct and indirect support to veterans, currently serving personnel, and their families and whānau. Anyone who would like to know more about the veteran support services available in Auckland is encouraged to register with the Trust — registration is simple, obligation-free, and the best way to receive information about the assistance on offer. Those who prefer a conversation can request a call back, and the team is available Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 3.00pm, on 09 625 8310.

Service life brings experiences that civilian support systems don't always understand, which is why the Trust connects veterans with practical help across the areas that matter most. Through weserved.nz — a national service directory for New Zealand veterans, service personnel and whānau — individuals and families can find veterans' charities and support groups offering mental wellbeing and counselling services, physical and veterans' health support, family support, peer support, and assistance with finance and housing. It means less time spent searching for the right door to knock on, and more time getting the support that makes a genuine difference. The Trust is also continually widening the scope of its services as it learns more about what veterans and their families actually need, so suggestions from the veteran community are always welcome.

Financial pressure can make essential health care feel out of reach, and this is where the Poppy Foundation steps in. Established in 2017 and supported by the Trust, the Foundation provides financial assistance for veterans in Auckland who are eligible members of participating RSAs, helping with welfare-associated costs such as glasses, hearing aids, dental treatment and medical expenses. Alongside this veterans' financial support, the Trust hosts and takes part in a range of activities and events — some at Ranfurly Veterans' House and some offsite — giving veterans and their whānau opportunities to connect, share stories and stay involved. For anyone who has served, or who cares for someone who has, the Ranfurly Veterans' Trust is a straightforward first point of contact for veteran care services in Auckland.
